Exceptional Parents Unlimited, Inc. is seeking a dedicated professional to drive outreach and training programs, providing information, resources, and emotional support to families of children with unique needs.

You will collaborate with local programs to establish parent trainings and maintain accurate records of contacts with families and professionals. The role involves developing training materials, coordinating events, and ensuring compliance with relevant education laws.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Services, Special Education or related field is required.
• 2+ years’ experience working with families of children with unique needs is preferred.
• Experience working with diverse perspectives and parents of children with a wide variety of challenges is valued.

Responsibilities

• Conduct outreach activities and trainings to promote program services within the service area.
• Schedule and conduct training needs based on core program priorities.
• Prepare presentation materials (PowerPoint, handouts, flyers, evaluation forms).
• Collaborate to plan outreach events and maintain a calendar of activities.
• Identify stakeholders and maintain a network of contacts in the service area.
• Provide individualized support and resources to families needing assistance with special education and regional center services.
• Organize and lead support groups and caregiver activities as assigned.
• Stay current with IDEA, ADA, Lanterman Act and related education laws.
• Travel within the service area as needed.
