Educational Specialist at University of Hawai'i, College of Education, will drive statewide recruitment, outreach, and communications for emergency HIDOE hires and other personnel. The role supports prospective students, oversees admissions procedures, and promotes COE programs through multiple channels.

The incumbent collaborates with the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs to build pipelines, advise applicants, and monitor program data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education or related field and 3 years of progressive professional experience in student support or project management.
• Broad knowledge of student support and project management concepts, practices and theories.
• Knowledge of federal and state laws, rules, and theories related to student support and project management.
• Ability to resolve complex problems using creative reasoning and timely solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and reporting skills.
• Ability to travel to school sites including neighbor islands and work evenings/weekends when needed.

Responsabilités

• Conceives, plans, and directs recruitment, outreach, and communication plans statewide for emergency hires and HIDOE personnel.
• Develops and maintains relationships with HIDOE administrators to identify teaching workforce needs in Hawai‘i.
• Maintain familiarity with COE teacher preparation programs to assist prospective students with program choice and admissibility.
• Develops and disseminates marketing materials promoting COE programs through electronic, print, and social media channels.
• Advise and counsel prospective post-baccalaureate students regarding admission, financial aid, and program requirements.
• Guide applicants through enrollment, maintaining ongoing communication to support completion and admission.
• Monitor and report post-baccalaureate certificate program data to inform recruitment strategies for targeted populations.
• Represent the College at statewide recruitment events and cultivate partnerships with HIDOE stakeholders.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
