Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or related field with relevant experience.
• Knowledge of outreach and community program principles.
• Understanding of laws and systems related to outreach programs.
• Ability to recognize problems and resolve issues in program areas.
• Ability to write reports and communicate effectively.
• Ability to establish working relationships with internal and external groups.

Responsibilities

• Provides guidance for Hawaii County 4-H program operations following guidelines.
• Supports East Hawaii 4-H events, day camps, and community outreach outside normal hours.
• Documents program effectiveness with measurable outcomes.
• Provides training for 4-H programs per guidelines.
• Supports volunteers and local 4-H programs with organizational development.
• Communicates with stakeholders and assists in volunteer recognition.
• Identifies resources and organizes volunteers for county needs.
• Assists faculty in youth development activities and resources.
• Maintains county websites and social media to promote 4-H.
• Transports equipment for events and other activities.
