Job summary

New York Preschool is seeking a Recruiter and Onboarding Specialist to support full-cycle recruiting and own onboarding and new hire training across NY Preschool. This in-person, multi-site role requires regular interview, onboarding, and training presence in New York City.

You will partner with Heads of School and the Director of HR to ensure a smooth hiring journey, consistent onboarding, and an exceptional candidate and new hire experience that aligns with our educational mission and campus

Qualifications

2–4 years of experience in recruiting, HR coordination, or talent operations.
Strong organizational and administrative skills.
Experience coordinating interviews, onboarding, or training logistics.
Experience leading group trainings and orientations.

Responsibilities

Recruiting Support & Coordination: manage postings, screening, and interview scheduling.
Pipeline & Hiring Operations: maintain pipelines and track activity across roles.
Onboarding Coordination: coordinate onboarding from offer to first day.
New Hire Training Coordination: plan orientation and compliance trainings.
In-Person Support Across Schools: support interviews and onboarding across locations.
Cross-Functional Support: collaborate with Heads of School and HR to ensure consistency.
Process Support & Improvement: identify opportunities to streamline workflows.
