Junior Achievement of Northeastern New York, Inc. seeks an Education Programs Manager to lead the strategic marketing, planning, implementation and evaluation of JA’s educational programs across the Capital Region.

The role serves as the primary contact for schools and districts, ensuring a high-quality experience for educators, volunteers, and partners. It requires collaboration with staff and volunteers to meet annual program goals and to expand student impact.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years experience in K-12 teaching and/or administration, or in program management/planning/evaluation.
  • Experience working with K-12 schools, districts, youth programming or education partners preferred.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with teachers, school admins and community partners.
  • Strong presence and communication skills to represent JA with education and community partners.
  • Ability to manage multiple programs and priorities with different timelines and stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with NYS Financial Literacy Learning Objectives and education trends.
  • Familiarity with Excel and Google Docs; adaptable to JA's digital platform.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and implement JA’s portfolio of educational programs from planning through execution.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with teachers, school admins, district leaders and partners.
  • Serve as primary contact for schools and districts with clear communication and guidance.
  • Set annual program goals, priorities, schedules and strategies to increase student impact.
  • Coordinate, direct and support staff and volunteers involved in program delivery.
  • Recruit, train and support JA volunteers and coordinate their placement and scheduling.
  • Provide motivation, feedback, and resources to volunteers and teachers.
  • Execute surveys, evaluate feedback and strengthen program delivery.
  • Maintain records of activities, volunteer hours, student participation, and outcomes.
  • Use program data to evaluate effectiveness and plan for the future.
  • Represent JA at school meetings, events and with education and business partners.
  • Assist in organizing and supporting JA events.
