Job summary

This Education Specialist position is part of the Tuba City Boarding School, within the US Bureau of Indian Education. It requires planning, development, and coordination of academic and curriculum-based programs under a school-year contract and annual renewals.

Telework is not allowed. Qualifications include a Master’s degree with at least 12 graduate hours in School Administration, plus two years in school administration, teaching, or counseling.

Qualifications

• Master's degree with minimum of 12 graduate semester hours in School Administration from an accredited institution.
• Experience MUST be in school administration, teaching, counseling, or other professional education experience.
• Two years of experience in school administration, teaching, counseling, or other professional education experience.
• Must possess and maintain a valid State issued Assistant Principal/licensure or certification.
• Provisional certificates may be considered with conditions to obtain full certification within two contract terms.
• Foreign or DODEA certification is not acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, direct, conduct, administer, and coordinate academic and curriculum-based programs at the school.
• Responsible for implementing the requirements of Public Law 95-561 and contract renewal on an annual basis.
• On-site duties with no telework or remote consideration.
