Socket.dev seeks a Graduate Medical Education (GME) Administrator to oversee day-to-day operations of the GME Office and coordinate resident/medical student rotations across Sunset Health and partner institutions.

The role involves maintaining accreditation documents, managing PLAs, supporting site visits, and collaborating with GMEC, faculty, and leadership to ensure regulatory compliance and a smooth learning environment.

Responsibilities

  • Builds workflows aligning with ACGME requirements, including recordkeeping and accreditation data collection.
  • Directs daily administrative functions of the Sunset Health Student and GME Office.
  • Coordinates student/resident rotations within Sunset Health and with partner academic institutions.
  • Oversees and maintains program affiliation agreements with universities and program accreditation with ACGME and other bodies.
  • Supports preparation and coordination for University/ACGME site visits and internal reviews.
  • Coordinates and maintains Program Letters of Agreement (PLAs) with external institutions and preceptors.
  • Manages schedules for the Sunset Health Senior Director for Clinical Operations and Education, Residency Program Director, and visiting faculty.
  • Assists in planning and executing new student/resident orientation, trainings, and GME events.
  • Maintains and coordinates all documentation of student/resident records to ensure credentialing and licensure are current.
  • Manages and administers student/resident schedules to comply with requirements.
  • Provides administrative support to the GMEC.
  • Liaison with hospital leadership, accrediting agencies, and affiliated partners.
  • Serves as liaison between Sponsoring Institution administrative support, GMEC, and directors.
  • Maintains minutes of residency program committees and related meetings.
  • Attends GME training and conferences.
  • Collaborates on preparing ACGME documentation, internal reports, and institutional summaries.
  • Supports recruitment for faculty, staff, residents, and students.
  • Coordinates website content and updates for education programs.
  • Collaborate to monitor learning environment, satisfaction, and well-being indicators.
  • Supports inclusive recruitment and orientation practices.
  • Manages clinical student rotations and acts as liaison with academic institutions for onboarding and documentation.
  • Participates in quality improvement initiatives for program metrics and outcomes.
  • Assists in tracking board certification exam eligibility and licensure documentation.
  • Supports faculty development sessions and scholarly activity.
  • Tracks evaluations to ensure University/ACGME compliance.
  • Coordinates completion of ACGME annual surveys and data entry in ADS.
  • Assists in grant writing and identification of GME funding opportunities.
  • Manages evaluation system for residency program and residents.
  • Supports student/residency program social events.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Supports preparation and coordination for University/ACGME site visits and internal reviews.
  • Coordinates and maintains Program Letters of Agreement (PLAs) with external institutions and preceptors.
  • Manages schedules for the Sunset Health Senior Director for Clinical Operations and Education, the Residency Program Director, and visiting faculty.

  • Serves as a liaison between our Sponsoring Institution administrative support, GMEC, and our directors.

  • Attends relevant coordinator/GME administrative training and conferences.
  • Collaborates in preparing ACGME documentation, internal reports, and institutional summaries.
  • Supports the recruitment process for faculty, staff, residents, and students.
  • Coordinates website content and updates related to all the education programs.
  • Collaborate with faculty, students, and residents to monitor the learning environment, satisfaction, and well-being indicators.
  • Supports inclusive recruitment and orientation practices, aligned with Sunset Health's commitment to an inclusive and healthy work environment.
  • Manages and coordinates all clinical student rotations sponsored or operated by Sunset Health, including but not limited to medical students, physician assistant students, nurse practitioner students, nursing students, and medical assistant trainees; serves as the primary liaison with academic institutions to ensure proper onboarding, scheduling, supervision arrangements, and documentation.
  • Participates in quality improvement initiatives related to program metrics and educational outcomes.
  • Assists in tracking board certification exam eligibility, including rotation completion, procedural logs, and licensure documentation.
  • Supports planning and documentation of faculty development sessions and scholarly activity.
  • Tracks distribution and timely completion of evaluations (faculty, resident, and student rotation) to ensure University/ACGME compliance.
  • Coordinates completion of ACGME annual surveys and manages data entry in the Accreditation Data System (ADS).
  • Assists in grant writing and identification of GME funding opportunities.
  • Manage administration and coordination of the evaluation system for the residency program and residents.
  • Manage coordination and support for the student/residency program social events (i.e., Orientation reception, interview season dinner, graduation)
  • Other duties as assigned.
