Job summary

Blackstone Valley Prep Mayoral Academy in Rhode Island is seeking a licensed school psychologist to administer and interpret tests, support RTI planning, and contribute to educational program design that helps scholars reach learning goals.

You will collaborate with the student support team, develop behavior intervention plans, maintain accurate records, and ensure timely assessment activities in line with special education guidelines. Bilingual candidates are preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in school psychology required.
• Rhode Island certification and licensure by hire date; Rhode Island offers reciprocity with over 30 states.
• Bilingual candidates strongly preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Administer and interpret psychological tests, functional behavior assessments, and reports.
• Participate in RTI for scholars with special needs and plan related programs.
• Use evaluation data to help plan instruction and access curriculum.
• Identify scholars needing support and coordinate actions with staff.
• Collaborate with the student support team.
• Develop and monitor behavior intervention plans.
• Provide ongoing consultation on therapeutic strategies for staff.
• Maintain accurate scholar and staff records as required.
• Manage an assessment caseload and timelines per special education guidelines.
• Certification in a relevant psychological field.
• CPI certification.
