Job summary

Bancroft is hiring a Paraprofessional for Mt. Laurel, NJ, working full-time in person from 8a-3p, Monday to Friday. You will support the teacher with lesson planning and help meet each student’s educational needs within a collaborative classroom.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with at least three years of direct support experience, preferably in education. Bachelor’s degree is welcome but not required, and experience with individuals with developmental disabilities is

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of three years direct support experience, preferably in an educational setting.
Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.
Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist Teacher in planning curriculum and meeting the physical, emotional, and educational needs of the assigned student.
Assist Teacher in assessing a student’s abilities and developing lesson plans aligned to IEP goals.
Help maintain a classroom environment conducive to learning and guide appropriate student behavior.
Suggest classroom supplies and curriculums and their usage.
Observe and track student behavior, collect data, and create visuals to monitor progress and modify programs.
Assist in managing student behavior to ensure a safe classroom and report hazards.
