Job summary

Boston Public Schools is seeking a Paraprofessional to support teachers and deliver a high‑quality education program. You will assist with direct instruction, prepare instructional materials, and help manage classroom activities to create a safe, organized learning environment for students.

The role includes supervising students on field trips, setting up and cleaning up classrooms, and supporting behavioral guidance using prescribed approaches.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Forty-eight (48) college credits or an Associate's Degree or passing scores on Parapro or WorkKeys assessments required.
• Minimum of two years experience working with young children.
• Current authorization to work in the United States by first day of employment.

Responsibilities

• Supports direct instruction to children individually, in small groups, and in classroom settings.
• Provides assistance with classroom activities.
• Prepares instructional materials.
• Assists in classroom set up and clean up.
• Manages individual and classroom behavior using prescribed approaches.
• Supervises students on field trips.
• Performs other related duties as requested by Head of School/Principal.
