Job summary

Boston Public Schools is seeking a Paraprofessional to assist teachers in delivering an innovative, high-quality education program and to support students’ learning across a variety of classroom settings. You will work with school staff to prepare instructional materials, support individual and small-group instruction, manage classroom behavior, supervise field trips, and help with setup and cleanup.

A HS diploma or GED, 48 college credits or an associate's degree (or ParaPro/WorkKeys), and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 48 college credits of college coursework or an Associate's Degree or passing ParaPro or WorkKeys.
• Minimum of two years experience working with young children.
• Current authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Supports direct instruction to children individually, in small groups, and in classroom settings.
• Provides assistance with classroom activities.
• Prepares instructional materials.
• Assists in classroom set up and clean up.
• Manages individual and classroom behavior, using prescribed approaches.
• Supervises students on field trip activities.
• Performs other related duties as requested by Head of School/Principal.
