Job summary

StrataTech Education Group in Phoenix seeks a Network Engineer to design, implement, and secure the institution's network infrastructure across campus locations, data centers, and cloud services. You will ensure reliable connectivity, manage routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless APs, and support learning and administrative systems.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years in network engineering, with strong TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and security knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in network engineering or network administration.
• Experience managing enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, and network security technologies.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, switching, and wireless networking.
• Experience with Cisco, Aruba, Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto, or equivalent networking technologies.
• Experience supporting cloud networking environments is an asset.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, configure, and maintain the institution's wired and wireless network infrastructure.
• Monitor network performance, availability, and capacity to ensure uninterrupted access to systems.
• Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless access points.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity, performance, and security issues.
• Support campus-wide Wi-Fi services for students, faculty, staff, and guests.
• Implement network security measures, including firewalls, network segmentation, access controls, and intrusion prevention.
• Maintain network documentation, including topology diagrams, configurations, and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with IT teams to support LMS, SIS, cloud services, and other applications.
• Plan and execute network upgrades, equipment replacements, and maintenance with minimal disruption.
• Monitor and optimize network performance using enterprise monitoring tools.
• Participate in disaster recovery planning and business continuity initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with policies, cybersecurity standards, and data privacy regulations.
• Provide technical support and guidance to IT staff.
