Job summary

Texas State University in San Marcos seeks an Education Mobility Outreach Coordinator to drive outreach and recruitment for Education Mobility units. You will represent the unit at events, conduct information sessions, and coordinate logistics for fairs, orientations, and workshops.

The role reports to the Director of Education Mobility and requires strong planning, communication, and social media skills to engage students, faculty, and community partners across campus and beyond.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, higher education, student affairs, international studies, or related field.
  • Experience with event planning, outreach, recruitment, communications, or student engagement.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for 1:1 or presentation communication.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen to hold certification with the U.S. Department of State as a Passport Facility Agent.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing strategies to increase student awareness and participation in Education Abroad and Study in America programs.
  • Represent Education Mobility at tabling events, student organization fairs, orientations, classroom presentations, campus events, and community outreach opportunities.
  • Conduct presentations and information sessions for students and campus partners.
  • Coordinate logistics and promotional efforts for Education Mobility events, including Education Abroad/Study in America fairs, pre-departure orientations, workshops, recruitment events, passport office programming and educational workshops.
  • Administratively maintain outreach calendars, outreach metrics, event attendance, and recruitment outcomes.
  • Keep up with inventory of marketing and recruitment materials, requesting new supplies as needed.
  • Manage Education Mobility social media accounts and assist in developing promotional content.
  • Create graphics, flyers, digital signage, promotional materials, and marketing campaigns for events and programs.
  • Create, maintain, and update SOPs for outreach activities, recruitment processes, and systems utilized by Education Abroad and Study in America.
  • Support passport office walk-in days directing the customer flow.

Required Qualifications

Job Description

The Education Mobility Outreach Coordinator is responsible forproviding outreach and recruitment efforts for the three EducationMobility units to increase student enrollment and drive awarenessof programs. This position reports directly to the Director ofEducation Mobility.

Job Duties
  • Assist in developing strategies to increase student awarenessand participation in Education Abroad and Study in Americaprograms.
  • Represent Education Mobility at tabling events, studentorganization fairs, orientations, classroom presentations, campusevents, and community outreach opportunities.
  • Conduct presentations and information sessions for students andcampus partners. Including, but not limited to, attending NewStudent Orientations.
  • Coordinate logistics and promotional efforts for EducationMobility events, including but not limited to: EducationAbroad/Study in America fair, pre-departure orientations,workshops, recruitment events, passport office programing andeducational workshops, etc. Coordinating logistics includesassisting with scheduling, room reservations, event set up, event communications, event materials, promotional signage, etc. Couldalso include attending evening and occasional weekend events asneeded.
  • Administratively maintain outreach calendars, outreach metrics,event attendance, and recruitment outcomes having data ready toprovide when requested.
  • Keep up with all inventory of marketing and recruitmentmaterials, requesting an order of new supplies, as needed,including program T-Shirts.
  • Manage Education Mobility social media accounts and assist indeveloping engaging promotional content. Includes responding tosocial media messages, inquiries, and outreach communications in aprofessional and timely manner.
  • Create graphics, flyers, digital signage, promotionalmaterials, and marketing campaigns for events and programs.Includes coordinating the distribution of marketing materialsacross campus and within the surrounding community.
  • Create, maintain, and update Standard Operating Procedures(SOPs) for outreach activities, recruitment processes, and systemsutilized by Education Abroad and Study in America.
  • Support passport office walk-in days directing the customerflow.
