Job summary

Lyndon Institute in Lyndon Center, VT, is seeking an Associate Director of Information Services to advance to a Director position by July 2027. The role combines strategic vision, leadership, and hands-on management of information services to support staff, faculty, students, and families.

The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of information services, supervise a small IS team, and ensure effective use of technology and data across the school.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
• Experience leading and directing a team in an educational setting.
• Experience in IS infrastructure, strategic planning, policy development, project management, and team building.
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs and traverse stairs.
• Ability to work in 100+ year old buildings with steep staircases and dirt floor basements.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the management of a comprehensive technology plan that includes infrastructure, SOPs, staffing, instructional integration, professional development, support, disaster recovery, incident reporting and emergency response plans.
• Serve as the technical expert and liaison on matters pertaining to operation, upgrade and maintenance of the school’s internet and network services.
• Oversee the operation of the phone system, intercom, campus copiers and peripheral equipment.
