Job summary

The SST Spring Teacher Fellow role is a full-time, campus-based position in Spring, Texas. The Fellow covers classrooms when teachers are absent and supports campus-wide duties, serving as a talent pipeline for future full-time teaching openings.

Requirements include a bachelor's degree (or active pursuit) and eligibility for a teacher certification program. Strong communication and teamwork skills, plus comfort with using district software for attendance and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required (or actively pursuing degree).
• Eligible to enroll in a teacher certification program

Responsibilities

• Deliver instruction based on provided lesson plans and learning objectives, using appropriate instructional strategies to meet diverse student needs.
• Cover classrooms campus-wide when the assigned teacher is absent
• Manage student behavior and classroom routines
• Take attendance and complete required documentation
• Build positive, professional relationships with students, staff, families, and campus leadership.
• Work collaboratively with experienced teachers to strengthen instructional planning and classroom practices
• Communicate with administration on coverage needs
• Attend required staff meetings and professional development
• Step into full-time teaching roles as openings arise
• Perform any other duties as assigned
