School Of Science & Technology SST San Antonio College Prep HS is seeking a Teacher Fellow to provide classroom coverage for absent teachers and support campus duties. This role acts as a talent pipeline for future full-time teaching openings within the district.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree (or in progress) and enrollment in a teacher certification program, with strong communication and collaboration skills to engage students, families, and staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required (or actively pursuing degree).
• Eligible to enroll in a teacher certification program.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instruction based on provided lesson plans and learning objectives.
• Cover classrooms campus-wide when the assigned teacher is absent.
• Manage student behavior and classroom routines.
• Take attendance and complete required documentation.
• Build positive, professional relationships with students, staff, families, and campus leadership.
• Work collaboratively with experienced teachers to strengthen instructional planning and classroom practices.
• Communicate with administration on coverage needs.
• Attend required staff meetings and professional development.
• Step into full-time teaching roles as openings arise.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
