Job summary

HES is a premier facilities management provider focused on educational institutions, based in Knoxville, TN. The Custodial Account Manager (Human Resources) will oversee cleaning operations across campuses, supervising supervisors and custodians, coordinating staffing, and managing event setups to maintain cleanliness standards.

The role includes payroll oversight, training, reporting, compliance with contracts, and daily coordination with clients.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 3 years of progressively responsible supervisory or managerial work, preferably in a hotel, hospital or educational facility.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and materials.

• Travel: Minimal travel is required daily within local facilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervises daily work of assistant supervisor and custodians; inspects all assigned areas daily to ensure work is being carried out properly and orderly; prepares and submits work schedules; biweekly payroll.
• Evaluates performance of custodial personnel; prepares and submits disciplinary action and incident reports; counsels employees.
• Designates shift and area work assignments for custodians and lead personnel; interprets contract; conducts training programs for custodians; implements new procedures and policies.
• Maintains records and correspondence; prepares reports; submits purchase requisitions for supplies; maintains supply inventory and accounts; contacts vendors; prepares and submits progress reports on building conditions.
• Establishes and monitors working relationships with students, faculty, staff, co‑workers, and visitors.
• Coordinates various cleaning projects; receives equipment, uniforms, and paper orders; operates all cleaning equipment.
• Coordinates setup for events on all campuses and ensures proper staffing.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
