Job summary

Second Mile Education is seeking a Data Specialist to manage the District's MIS and SIS, including FTE, funding reports, master schedule, and graduation requirements. You will ensure data accuracy, collaborate with district staff, and report student information for funding and accountability.

The role requires strong data management skills, effective communication, and a willingness to support school goals. Preference given to candidates with education-related experience and bilingual abilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Bilingual in local area languages is a plus.
• Previous experience in school registration/records is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain data in the SIS and MIS at all times.
• Collaborate with school/district staff to ensure data accuracy and timely reports.
• Work with Principal and staff to resolve data discrepancies.
• Accurately report student information to secure funding and support.
• Maintain professional relationships with staff, students, parents, and district personnel.
• Follow up on withdrawals/transfers with required documents.
• Assist in meeting FTE enrollment and attendance goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support enrollment goals.
