Job summary

Thomasville City Schools seeks a Director of Testing & Accountability to lead state and federal accountability initiatives, data collection, analysis, reporting, and program evaluations across the district.

The role involves managing EVAAS data for teachers, generating reports at multiple levels, training staff on data interpretation, and ensuring compliance with NC DPI requirements. Reports to the Chief of Schools and Wellness.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Education, Educational Leadership or related field.
• 5-7 years of experience in education leadership or related field.
• Experience with data collection, reporting and program evaluation.
• Ability to manage large data projects and present data to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Analyze EVAAS historical performance data at district, region, school, course, teacher and student levels.
• Integrate EVAAS data with formative assessment data to create current performance reports.
• Provide training on Value Added and EVAAS results to teachers, principals, and administrators.
• Design data collection strategies and ensure data quality and security.
• Coordinate program evaluation services and design surveys for data collection.
• Serve as liaison between school leadership teams and the State Department of Public Instruction.
