Job summary

Harris & Associates in Los Angeles, CA seeks a seasoned cost controls professional to manage budgets, forecasts, and cost performance across multiple capital projects.

You will partner with PMO, Project Managers, and schedulers to analyze variances, prepare reports, and support funding requests while ensuring adherence to cost management standards.

Qualifications

• 5 - 10 years experience in program and/or cost controls on a construction program.
• BS/BA Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business or related degree.
• Experience working through the entire project life cycle.
• Knowledge of cost/schedule management, earned value, forecasting, and risk assessment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage the accuracy and integrity of project budgets and financial forecasts, ensuring compliance with cost management procedures and policies.
• Collaborate with Project and Construction Managers in drafting white papers for project establishment, re-baselining, and securing funding for capital projects.
• Participate in monthly Estimate at Completion (EAC) reviews with the PMO to provide variance analysis and identify causes.
