Job summary

UP Health System Marquette is seeking an EMS Education Coordinator to plan and coordinate EMS student activities, develop programs and policies, and promote departmental services and outreach within the community.

The role emphasizes collaboration with internal and external resources, orientation and training of students, and periodic reporting. A Michigan EMT license with BLS-HCP certification is required, with an EMT education background and preferred Associate's degree.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from EMT approved program.
  • Associate's degree preferred.
  • 2 years related experience; 3 years EMT experience preferred.
  • Basic Life Support-Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP) certification.
  • Emergency State MEDICAL Technician (EMT) license in Michigan.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, set up, and coordinate student activities.
  • Designs, evaluates, and recommends program and policy development.
  • Develops, promotes, and evaluates marketing departmental services and outreach activities.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with community referral resources.
  • Assist with orientation and training of students.
  • Participates in meetings as required.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Prepares periodic reports as requested.

How you’ll contribute

An EMS Education Coordinatorwho excels in this role:

  • Works with internal and external resources to plan, set up, and coordinatestudentactivities
  • Designs, evaluates, and recommends program and policy development.
