Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership for the statewide French instructional materials program, including translation, adaptation, publication, quality assurance, and distribution for Louisiana French immersion schools and districts.
  • Directs the development and implementation of translation, publication, and quality assurance systems, ensuring deliverables meet standards and timelines.
  • Oversees contracts, platforms, budgets, and cross-functional workgroups for program execution.
  • Monitors program performance through data analysis and stakeholder feedback to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Develops recommendations for executive leadership on resource allocation and process improvements.
  • Other responsibilities as determined by the Executive Director of CODOFIL.

Education Consultant 4 WAE

This is a part‑time position located at the Capitol Annex Building in Baton Rouge, LA.

The Education Consultant 4 WAE will work with the Council for the Development of French in Louisiana (CODOFIL) to manage the development of French instructional materials to be used by immersion schools across Louisiana. CODOFIL, the state's Agency of Francophone Affairs, leads a range of initiatives that display that Louisiana French is not only a deeply rooted heritage language, but also a living connection between our state and an increasingly globalized world.

The candidate for this position must speak French fluently, as determined by the Executive Director of CODOFIL.

Job Duties
  • Provides leadership for the statewide French instructional materials program, which includes all activities necessary to establish, implement, and maintain a sustainable system for the translation, adaptation, publication, quality assurance, and distribution of Tier 1 instructional materials and related supports for Louisiana French immersion schools and districts; it also includes the planning and implementation of future translation initiatives, instructional material revisions, and expansion to additional subjects or grade levels as additional funding becomes available.
  • Directs the development and implementation of translation, publication, and quality assurance systems, ensuring project deliverables meet established language and educational standards, timelines, and performance expectations.
  • Oversees contracts, technology translation platforms, budgets, and cross-functional workgroups to ensure efficient and effective program execution.
  • Monitors program performance through data analysis, stakeholder feedback, and outcome measures to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Develops recommendations for executive leadership regarding resource allocation, process improvements, and future program expansion.
  • Other responsibilities as determined by the Executive Director of CODOFIL.
Position-Specific Details
  • Location: Capitol Annex Building in Baton Rouge, LA.
  • Appointment Type: This position will be filled as a part‑time Classified WAE, limited to 1,245 working hours in a 12-month period. Starting Hourly Pay varies, depending on experience.
  • Work Schedule: This position reports in‑office for an average of 20 hours a week, with a schedule that will be determined with a supervisor. This position may be required to work evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. This position may be required to travel.
  • Compensation: Compensation offered will be dependent on level of experience and certification, so please be sure to include all education and work experience for consideration.
