Job summary

Phipps Houses is seeking an Education Coach to mentor Group Leaders, support lesson planning, and foster a safe, productive learning environment. Reporting to the Education Content Specialist, you will partner with site leadership to cultivate a positive site culture and ensure high-quality education activities.

In this role you will provide targeted coaching to frontline staff, align programs with developmental benchmarks and the Future Builders PBL Model, and help monitor content quality

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in program content development, staff training, and coaching.
  • Demonstrated experience in youth development and activity-based learning.
  • Ability to assess, guide, and elevate staff instructional performance.

Responsibilities

  • Observe program sessions to assess instructional effectiveness and provide targeted feedback to staff.
  • Provide ongoing coaching to direct service staff.
  • Support staff in aligning activities with developmental benchmarks, cultural relevance, and program outcomes.
  • Ensure alignment with our project-based Future Builders model.
  • Help implement systems for monitoring content quality and consistency across all program areas.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of curriculum materials, staff observations, and training activities.
  • Participate in program evaluations and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Establish a comfortable learning environment and implement clear, consistent age-appropriate expectations and rules.
  • Model appropriate child development practices.
  • Uphold program policies, procedures, and proper use of supplies and materials.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Education Content Specialist.

Position Summary

The Education Coach will help ensure that all program activities align with COMPASS standards and the Future Builders PBL Model, as well as support youth engagement, learning, and development.

Physical and Administrative Conditions
