Job summary

Phipps Neighborhoods is seeking a dedicated tutor to work with students and collaborate with staff to deliver an engaging learning experience in an urban setting.

You will create individualized plans, foster a positive environment, document progress, and support attendance and records while modeling professional development for youth across multiple grade levels. Strong communication and bilingual Spanish ability are valued.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or HSE; 3-5 years proven experience in activity area.
• Experience with the design and implementation of group activities.
• Ability to work with young people at multiple grade levels and varying stages of development.
• Urban environment experience (preferred).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and computer literacy.
• Bilingual (Spanish speaking) preferred.
• Enthusiasm, creativity and initiative.
• A sense of humor and a sense of urgency.
