Job summary

Phipps is seeking a tutoring program participant with strong communication and organizational skills to work closely with students in New York. The role emphasizes creating individualized learning plans, documenting progress, and maintaining a positive, structured classroom environment.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or better and be comfortable working with youth across multiple grade levels in an urban setting.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or HSE; 3-5 years proven experience in activity area.
• Experience with the design and implementation of group activities.
• The ability to work with young people at multiple grade levels and varying stages of development.
• Previous experience working in an urban environment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and computer literacy.
• Enthusiasm, creativity and initiative.
