Job summary

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, sociology, human services or a closely related field; Master’s degree preferred.
One year advising experience at a secondary or postsecondary institution or social service organization preferred.
Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; travel required.

Responsibilities

Assist with recruitment of 1,000 participants.
Provide direct personal, vocational, and academic services to eligible participants.
Assist participants with HiSET completion, financial aid, scholarships, workforce training and apprenticeships.
Plan and facilitate career development, financial aid, postsecondary planning, and related workshops.
Provide on-site outreach support to staff in the target area.
