Cengage Group is seeking a Video / Motion Designer to bring ideas to life with motion and video that move the brand forward. You will design, animate, and deliver assets for brand, marketing, and internal communications, partnering with cross‑functional teams.

With 3+ years in video editing or motion graphics, you will master After Effects and Premiere Pro, plus Illustrator and Photoshop, translating concepts into compelling visual stories while maintaining brand standards and timelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in video editing, motion graphics, or related field.
• Proficiency in Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Strong understanding of animation principles, typography, and visual storytelling.
• Ability to translate creative concepts into compelling motion and video experiences.
• Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Create engaging video and motion design assets for brand, marketing, and internal communications
• Design and animate motion graphics for digital, social, web, presentations, and internal channels
• Develop and maintain templated motion and video systems to enable fast, consistent reuse across teams
• Edit video content, including pacing, color correction, audio refinement, and basic compositing
• Ensure all deliverables align with brand guidelines, visual identity, and quality standards
• Collaborate closely with designers, copywriters, creative leads, and program managers
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Prepare and deliver assets in multiple formats, resolutions, and aspect ratios
• Incorporate feedback and revisions efficiently while maintaining quality and timelines
• Maintain well-organized files and adhere to established workflows and processes
• Stay current on motion design trends, tools, and industry best practices
