Cengage Group is seeking a Video / Motion Designer to bring ideas to life with eye-catching motion and video that move the brand forward. You will work with cross-functional creative partners to deliver high‑quality content quickly and consistently.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of experience in video editing or motion graphics and are proficient in After Effects and Premiere Pro, with strong storytelling and attention to detail in fast-paced environments.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of experience in video editing, motion graphics, or related field.
Proficiency in Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro.
Strong understanding of animation principles, typography, and visual storytelling.

Responsibilities

Create engaging video and motion design assets for brand, marketing, and internal communications.
Design and animate motion graphics for digital, social, web, presentations, and internal channels.
Develop and maintain templated motion and video systems to enable fast, consistent reuse across teams.
Edit video content, including pacing, color correction, audio refinement, and basic compositing.
Ensure all deliverables align with brand guidelines, visual identity, and quality standards.
Collaborate closely with designers, copywriters, creative leads, and program managers.
Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Prepare and deliver assets in multiple formats, resolutions, and aspect ratios.
Incorporate feedback and revisions efficiently while maintaining quality and timelines.
Maintain well-organized files and adhere to established workflows and processes.
Stay current on motion design trends, tools, and industry best practices.
