Job summary

Arizona General Hospital-Mesa, part of the CommonSpirit Health network, is seeking a Sterile Processing Tech. You will process and sterilize instruments, assemble trays, and perform quality checks to support safe procedures.

Responsibilities include decontamination, aseptic prep, wrapping instrument sets, and managing supplies. A strong focus on detail and efficiency ensures readiness for all surgeries and optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED.
• Completion of a surgical instrument technician program or two (2) years surgical instrument experience.
• Must possess attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and delivers case carts. Utilizes aseptic technique with sterile supplies
• Decontaminates surgical instruments and other medical equipment
• Prepares and wraps instrument sets for various methods of sterilization
• Answers telephone, fills orders, issues and stocks supplies
• Utilizes various methods of high/low temp sterilization and disinfection processes
