Job summary

Hanover Research is seeking a Business Development Associate to generate new business opportunities in the K-12 and Higher Education markets. You will conduct phone and email outreach to senior education leaders to schedule initial meetings and demonstrate Hanover’s value.

This role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and a willingness to train and develop. You can advance to Senior Development Associate within 6–12 months as you hit goals and participate in Hanover’s training

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or relevant experience; all majors accepted.
• 0–2 years of work experience; leadership, professional, or internship experience.
• Comfortable with cold calling.

Responsibilities

• Identify potential new clients whose roles align with Hanover’s capabilities.
• Build targeted messaging to senior leaders based on history with Hanover and institution goals.
• Manage outreach strategy – make 50+ calls and 15+ emails per day to secure initial meetings.
• Support the sales process by maintaining a territory and assisting an Development Director.
• Participate in a comprehensive training program with Learning & Development specialists.
• Opportunity for rapid career advancement to Senior Development Associate within 6–12 months.
