Teen Challenge of Texas in Montgomery seeks an Education Assistant to supervise all education-related activities at Thrive, including class instruction and coordination with the Education Lead Coordinator. The role will involve ministry to students, Bible studies, and overseeing online coursework.

Candidates should show spiritual maturity, AG or related credentials in progress, and at least 2 years of leadership experience.

Qualifikationen

• Must be spiritually mature and in full agreement with the ATCOT mission statement.
• At least 2 years of leadership experience.
• Experience in Teen Challenge ministry is desirable.
• Understanding of addictive problems and their deleterious effects.
• Ideally credentialed as a minister or pursuing AG credentials.
• Bachelor's degree or 2 years relevant experience.
• Complete the Biblical Counseling Course.
• Preferred: 1 year of TC or similar ministry experience.
• 1 year TC classroom teaching experience.
• Ministerial credentials with a reputable church organization.

Aufgaben

• Primarily serve as a minister to students in the Thrive program; conduct Bible studies, lead prayer and disciple students.
• Engage in religious instruction.
• Enroll students into online classes and correspond with online teachers as needed.
• Act as proctor while students complete online coursework and ensure proper coverage for each class.
• Keep inventory of books and coursework materials.
• Introduce new students to TC and online classes and review academic requirements.
• Provide introductions and explain behavioral contracts and student rules.
• Staff housing is available and the position is FT day shift.

Job Description

Primary responsibility of the Education Assistant is to supervise all education-related activities at Thrive including, but not limited to class time instruction, students and teachers. The Educational Assistant is a department assistant to the Education Lead Coordinator.

Requirements

Shall be a person of spiritual maturity, amiable to the Assemblies of God doctrine, and in full agreement with the ATCOT mission statement.

At lease 2 years of relevant leadership experience. Teen Challenge ministry experience is desirable

Shall have a current understanding and working knowledge of addictive problems and their deleterious effects.

ideally credentialed as a minister or pursuing credentials in the AG or doctrinally similar fellowship

Bachelor's degree or 2 years relevant experience

Make sure that a teacher with adequate training covers each class. ensure that new students are paired with advisors who will be able to lead students to Christ and give instructions to questions and situations that will arise.

keep an inventory of books needed to complete for studies and individual coursework.

introduce new students to both their TC and online classes and see that they are informed of their academic requirements. Give them their introduction paperwork complete with behavioral contracts and student rules.
