Job summary

Casa Grande Elementary School District is seeking an Education Assistant - Crossing Guard at Desert Willow Elementary School in Casa Grande, AZ. This role supports student success by performing crossing guard duties before and after school and assisting teachers with clerical tasks.

Responsibilities include implementing instructional activities, supervising students in various settings, and handling basic records. The position is 10 months with a school-year schedule and comes with benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Pre-employment proficiency test
• Criminal Justice/fingerprint clearance

Responsibilities

• Implements instructional programs and lesson plans for reading, math, language, writing, and computers.
• Instructs students individually or in small groups (reading, math, spelling, self-esteem, daily living skills).
• Maintains equipment, work area, files/records, and assists with grading and materials.
• Monitors students across classrooms, restrooms, hallways, cafeteria, labs, and field trips.
• Participates in in-service workshops and training.
• Performs Crossing Guard duties as assigned.
• Performs clerical tasks (scheduling, copying, materials, grading, lists).
• Picks up/delivers homework to students at home.
• Responds to emergencies (injured student, fights).
• Assists other personnel as needed.
