OpenAI is seeking an Applied AI Architect for Education. You will be the senior technical owner for a portfolio of education customers, shaping AI strategy and guiding journey from discovery to deployment and measurable impact.

You will work across academic, research, and administrative contexts, translating priorities into a focused use-case portfolio, adoption roadmaps, and durable value. Strong education-sector fluency and architectural judgment are essential.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in customer-facing technical roles such as solutions architecture or technical account leadership.
• Experience guiding complex organizations from technical evaluation to production adoption.
• Ability to communicate with senior technical and business leaders and hands-on engineers.
• Knowledge of APIs, distributed systems, data integration, identity, security, and privacy.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical advisor and long-term technical relationship owner for education customers.
• Own technical account plans, milestones, adoption priorities, and value realization.
• Lead discovery with institutional leaders to identify and prioritize use cases.
• Translate education priorities into applied AI architectures across models, data, security, governance.
• Guide institutions through evaluations, workshops, proofs of value, and production transition.
• Track adoption, account health, and measurable customer impact, flagging risks early.
