Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Programme Coordinator for Education Access in East London to drive initiatives that increase school enrollment, retention, and educational outcomes for disadvantaged children. You will collaborate with schools, families, and community partners to remove barriers to education and ensure children receive needed support.

The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, with a commitment to serving vulnerable communities in the Eastern Cape.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years in programme coordination or management, preferably in education or non-profit.
• Experience working with schools and communities to support education access.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate implementation of educational access programmes with schools and community organizations in East London.
• Facilitate outreach activities to identify children and families in need of educational support.
• Organize workshops, tutoring sessions, and school support initiatives.
• Liaise with school administrators, teachers, and parents to address educational challenges and promote student success.
• Monitor student progress and program effectiveness, collect data and prepare reports.
• Develop educational materials and resources as needed.
• Build and maintain relationships with community stakeholders and beneficiaries.
• Manage programme logistics including scheduling, resources, and communications.
