Placements24 is seeking a Community Engagement Specialist to drive initiatives in East London, Eastern Cape. You will build relationships with diverse community members, organizations, and stakeholders to foster collaboration and promote social progress. Design and implement outreach strategies, organize events, and facilitate dialogue on local needs.

The role requires strong communication, facilitation, and project-management skills, with travel within the area for hybrid responsibilities.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Community Development, Public Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience in developing and executing outreach strategies and managing community projects.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills.
• Strong understanding of community dynamics and social issues relevant to East London.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups and build consensus.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and implement outreach strategies and action plans for community engagement.
• Organize and facilitate community meetings, workshops, and public forums.
• Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, local government, NGOs, and residents in Eastern Cape.
• Conduct community needs assessments and gather feedback to inform program development.
• Create communication materials to inform and engage the community.
