Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Community Health Worker Educator to join our client’s team in East London. The role focuses on educating individuals and groups on vital health topics, preventive care, and healthy lifestyle choices to improve community health outcomes.

You will design and deliver engaging education programs, conduct outreach, and connect community members with local health services, empowering residents to take an active role in their health in a hands-on, community-focused

Formación

• Minimum of a Matric certificate; relevant health or community development qualification is a strong asset.
• Previous experience working as a Community Health Worker or in health education.
• Strong understanding of public health principles and common health issues.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse community groups.
• Proficiency in basic record-keeping and reporting.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and deliver health education workshops and presentations on various topics (nutrition, hygiene, chronic disease management).
• Conduct community outreach to raise awareness about health services and preventive measures.
• Assess community health needs and tailor educational content accordingly.
• Provide one-on-one health counselling and support to individuals.
• Distribute health information materials and resources within the community.
• Collaborate with local clinics, schools, and organizations to promote health initiatives.
