Job summary

Moog in Buffalo, NY is seeking an experienced EDM Machinist for the 3rd shift in the Military Aircraft Group. You will set up production and prototype parts, program EDM operations, and verify setups against engineering drawings using precision inspection equipment.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and at least 4 years as a diversified machinist. A $3,500 sign-on bonus is offered, along with FAA Safety Sensitive program participation and strong total compensation benefits.

Responsibilities

• Perform set-ups for production and prototype parts.
• Specify electrode size and EDM operation sequences in absence of operation sheets.
• Verify all set-ups meet operation sheet and engineering drawing requirements.
• Utilize inspection equipment to meet tight tolerances.
• Train and monitor EDM Operators.
• Operate EDM machines and surface grinder as needed.
• Establish EDM parameters for proper machining rates.
