Job summary

Artforum is seeking an editorial assistant to support print and web production and to assist the magazine’s co-editors with administrative tasks. The role includes fact-checking content, conducting editorial research, and contributing short-form material.

Under close supervision of senior editors, you will upload posts to WordPress and help with scheduling and travel logistics. The position is based in New York with one remote workday per week.

Qualifications

• Some formal training in art history.
• Internships or positions in contemporary art or a related field.
• Experience writing about art.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, and Zoom; willing to learn WordPress.

Responsibilities

• Fact checking editorial content for publication, including correspondence with museums and galleries to confirm details and request images.
• Research topics of interest in consultation with senior editorial staff.
• Contribute short-form content to print and web under supervision.
• Upload web posts to WordPress.
• Provide administrative support to the co-editors, including travel and scheduling logistics.
