Job summary

The Fergus Falls Daily Journal, part of Forum Communications Company, seeks an editor to lead the newsroom and guide news gathering across digital and print platforms for Otter Tail County. The role focuses on building a loyal, engaged audience while upholding high journalistic standards.

You will direct editorial operations, oversee workflows, manage staff and community-focused reporting while ensuring timely publication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline with 4+ years newsroom experience.
• Experience in a daily setting and/or supervisory capacity preferable.
• Excellent decision-making and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Directing and managing local news gathering and editorial functions on all relevant publishing platforms.
• Editing and producing content for the Daily Journal and special publications.
• Covering local government and community news.
• Maintaining timely digital publishing workflows and ensuring print deadlines are consistently met.
