Job summary

APT Search is seeking an experienced eDiscovery Project Manager in the United States to oversee multiple discovery matters from collection to production, serving as the primary client contact and coordinating with global teams.

Job description

You'd run multiple discovery matters end to end for a global eDiscovery service provider, as the client's primary point of contact from collection management through to production, with delivery resourced across global teams. The seat sits under the Project Director team and is as consultative as it is operational: you'd advise outside counsel, in-house legal and IT stakeholders on collections, processing, review workflows, analytics and production deliverables, own the schedules and budgets, and mentor junior project managers alongside your own caseload. There is a client-facing commercial side too, including sales presentations, quarterly business reviews and account-level meetings. It suits a PM who wants to hold the client relationship rather than sit behind it, an established PM who wants a change or maybe an analyst or associate who wants a step up.

The essentials:

• United States, full-time, reporting to the Project Director team.
• The role involves minimal travel, and a flexible schedule that will periodically run beyond a standard 40 hour week around project deadlines.
• You'd manage several concurrent matters of varying complexity, not a single account.

Responsibilities of an eDiscovery Project Manager:

• Provide end-to-end oversight of multiple discovery matters and act as the primary client point of contact on each.
• Advise clients on data collections, processing, review workflows, analytics, and production and export deliverables, and act as the expert on the firm's review platforms and service offerings.
• Build and maintain project schedules and reporting, defining activities, sequencing, dependencies, work effort, duration and resource requirements.
• Forecast, track and manage project budgets, and issue reporting metrics and KPIs on a regular cadence for every matter.
• Define and monitor quality standards on all deliverables, and manage internal and external project communications.
• Mentor and delegate to junior members of the portfolio team, and support business development with existing and new clients through sales presentations, QBRs and account-level meetings.

Requirements of an eDiscovery Project Manager:

• 3+ years in litigation support or eDiscovery project management
• 3 years hands-on with Relativity or an equivalent eDiscovery platform such as Reveal
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects with cross-functional teams, to budget and to schedule.
• Experience coordinating project work and resources with global teams.
