Qualifications

• Reads and comprehends simple instructions, memos, and notices.
• Performs basic calculations and understands rates, ratios, and percentages.
• Applies common sense to follow written or verbal instructions and solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with USDA on tanker cleaning and transfers of liquid egg for shipment.
• Check paperwork accompanying the tanker and document receipt details.
• Record receiving data on Tanker Receiving Log: date, product, raw vs pasteurized, USDA certificate, receiver, source, weight.
• Inspect tanker cleanliness, temperature, smell; take corrective action as needed.
• Take samples to the lab for testing.
• Control flow of egg via computer panels and piping in silo areas.
• Set up transfers by connecting sanitized hoses and unloading to silos or tanks.
• Ensure CIP cleans empty tanks and tankers.
• Communicate with Cooked Department regarding edible egg transfers.
• Mix liquid egg products with ingredients.
• Coordinate tanker shipments and bulk chemical receiving.
• Maintain general housekeeping in the area and monitor inedible transfer bay.
• Assist in other areas, including mixing room duties.
