Job summary

Universal Logistics Holdings, Inc. seeks an EDI / Integration Analyst to join the Business Integration team. You will manage trading partner connectivity, translate EDI documents, and monitor transmission health to keep day-to-day transportation operations running smoothly.

You will own the EDI queue, work directly with trading partners on onboarding and issue resolution, and contribute to CIC cloud integration efforts, growing toward senior integration engineering.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of EDI fundamentals and common ANSI X12 transaction sets (e.g., 204, 210, 214, 810, 856, 990)
• Experience in an EDI operations, integration support, or trading partner coordination role
• Understanding of trading partner connectivity methods — FTP / SFTP / VAN
• Ability to troubleshoot systematically — isolate whether a failure is data, mapping, connectivity, or partner-side
• Strong written and verbal communication; comfortable interacting directly with external trading partners
• Organized, detail-oriented, and disciplined about documentation and ticket hygiene
• Ownership mentality — sees issues through to resolution and communicates proactively
• Ability to prioritize and shift focus quickly in an operational environment

Responsibilities

• Monitor EDI queues and transmission health across all trading partners — identify and resolve failures before they affect operations
• Establish trading partner connectivity and configure mapping per partner specifications
• Support trading partner onboarding end-to-end — setup, mapping, testing, cutover, and post-launch monitoring
• Troubleshoot EDI processes and workflows; diagnose whether an issue is data, mapping, connectivity, or partner-side
• Remedy outage and transmission-failure situations expeditiously, escalating when needed
• Communicate onboarding progress, migration notifications, cutover scheduling, and issue resolution to trading partners
• Review scorecard discrepancies with trading partners and drive resolution
• Support migration of EDI workloads to CIC as the strategic platform, developing CIC capability over time
• Manage mailbox administration, connectivity setup (FTP / SFTP / VAN), and partner access
• Document and maintain trading partner configurations, onboarding checklists, and training material
• Own assigned EDI tickets through full lifecycle — intake, triage, resolution, and documentation

The EDI / Integration Analyst is a member of the Business Integration team responsible for the electronic data interchange (EDI) connections between ULH, our customers, and their partners (3PLs, 4PLs, and trading partners). This role establishes and maintains trading partner connectivity, ensures accurate translation of EDI documents, monitors transmission health, and resolves EDI issues that affect day-to-day transportation operations.This is a hands-on operational role. You will own the EDI queue, communicate directly with trading partners through onboarding and issue resolution, and support the team’s work on our strategic cloud integration platform, Cleo Integration Cloud (CIC).
