Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled EDI Engineer with hands-on experience in SPS Commerce integrations to join our team on a 6-month contract basis. You'll play a key role in managing, supporting, and optimizing EDI transactions between our organization and our trading partners. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background in EDI mappings, document flows (850, 855, 856, 810, etc.), and working directly within the SPS Commerce platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy EDI solutions using SPS Commerce Fulfillment & Integration tools
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external trading partners to establish and support EDI connections
  • Monitor and troubleshoot EDI transactions, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
  • Manage EDI onboarding for new retail partners, including testing and validation
  • Analyze and resolve errors related to mapping, translation, and connectivity
  • Create and maintain EDI documentation including maps, partner requirements, and workflows
  • Provide technical support and guidance to internal stakeholders (IT, sales ops, logistics, finance)
  • Coordinate with SPS Commerce support to resolve integration issues and implement updates
Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience as an EDI Engineer, Integration Developer, or similar role
  • Direct experience with SPS Commerce (including Fulfillment, Analytics, or Assortment modules)
  • Proficiency with EDI document standards: X12, EDIFACT (esp. 850, 855, 856, 810, 997, 940, 943, 944, 945)
  • Experience with order-to-cash and procure-to-pay processes in a retail or CPG environment
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple EDI projects simultaneously
Nice to Have
  • Experience integrating EDI with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, etc.)
  • Familiarity with retail partner requirements (e.g., Amazon, Walmart, Target)
  • Knowledge of scripting, APIs, or integration middleware tools (Boomi, MuleSoft, Celigo, etc.)
  • Prior contract or consulting experience in a fast-paced environment
