Position: EDI Developer

We are seeking an experienced EDI Developer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining EDI solutions for HIPAA EDI transactions such as 270/271, 276/277, 278, 820, 834, 835, 837, and 999. The role requires a good understanding of HIPAA EDI Implementations and Companion guides used across the Healthcare industry. Candidates should have software development experience and follow best practices for design and coding. Ability to work in cross-functional project teams and adhere to SDLC processes is essential.

Required technical skills include hands-on experience with Visual Studio, C#.NET, Microsoft SQL Server (2008R2 or later), T-SQL, and BizTalk Server.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Programming, including writing T-SQL in SQL Server and SSIS packages to support Vendor Interfaces.
  • Analyzing business and system requirements, including impact analyses, to develop system specifications.
  • Designing, preparing, and executing unit test plans for application upgrades and enhancements.
  • Data mapping of ANSI HIPAA EDI files, including coding, translation, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Performing system analysis to become a subject matter expert and support business units.
  • Collaborating with hosted vendors to meet SDLC objectives.
  • Providing data analysis support for reporting and application development needs.
  • Tracking and resolving problem tickets, communicating status, and escalating issues as needed.
  • Identifying and resolving problems related to business processes and applications.
  • Managing change and revision processes to ensure system interoperability.
  • Meeting or exceeding customer expectations and establishing effective relationships.
  • Participating in requirements gathering, change management, disaster recovery, and production support.
  • Coordinating technical support and software upgrades with internal staff and vendors.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or Information Systems, or relevant experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in application development, support, and maintenance in a Microsoft environment; healthcare systems experience preferred.
  • Understanding of application dependencies and experience with QNXT, CCA, or similar systems.
  • Proficiency in ASP.NET, C#, SharePoint, SSIS, ANSI X12, XML, HL7 EDI transactions.
  • Experience with intra-application data exchanges, job scheduling, and dependencies.
  • Strong analytical, programming, and project management skills.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and a commitment to high-quality work.
