Lead EDI Developer (Azure Platform) - Secaucus, NJ (Hybrid/Remote)

We are looking to hire a candidate with the skills sets mentioned and experience for one of our clients.

Job Summary:

The primary purpose of this role is to provide technical leadership to the EDI team, serving as a subject matter expert (SME) in both EDI and Microsoft Azure platforms. The role includes leading the design, development, testing, and deployment of EDI solutions while collaborating with stakeholders and contributing to the organization's IT strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership and expertise to the EDI development team.
  • Ensure open and effective communication with developers, business analysts, and senior management.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices, development standards, and company policies.
  • Collaborate with external customers and lead client meetings as required.
  • Work with internal business groups to support incident resolution, root cause analysis, and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts to review and interpret requirements.
  • Design EDI maps based on the Map Requirement Document (MRD).
  • Perform in-depth testing including unit testing, regression testing, and end-to-end process validation.
  • Build and verify Logic App workflows for receipt-to-delivery processes.
  • Monitor and verify EDI transactions using BAM (EDI Monitor Tool).
  • Configure and validate connectivity with trading partners.
  • Perform peer reviews of technical objects such as maps, schemas, stored procedures, etc.
  • Deploy and verify objects in the production environment; document configurations and set-ups.
  • Provide ongoing production support and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Follow documentation standards and maintain accurate technical records.
  • Mentor and train new developers, including creating training agendas and delivering ongoing support.
  • Oversee deployment and post-deployment verification of production objects.

Required Qualifications, Skills & Education:

  • 710 years of relevant experience in EDI development and integration.
  • Strong proficiency with communication protocols: SFTP, FTPS, AS2, HTTPS (Web Services & APIs).
  • Expert in EDI formats: ANSI X12, EDIFACT, XML, JSON, Flat Files.
  • Experience with BizTalk map development.
  • Proficient in XML/XSLT.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Logic Apps, Integration Accounts, Blob Storage, and Key Vault.
  • Knowledge of RIPEDA architecture and Azure ASE.

    Familiarity with deploying and managing Azure components including:
    • Assemblies, Agreements, Partner setup, Certificates
    • Application Gateway (AS2 & WebService)
    • Event Grid
    • DevOps Repositories
    • Monitoring ASE, CPU, and databases

  • Troubleshooting experience across Logic Apps, Maps, Schemas, DB, and connectivity issues.
  • Experience with ticket creation and escalation with Microsoft support.
  • Proficient in SQL, C#, Java, and writing Stored Procedures.
  • Solid understanding of relational databases and component relationships.
  • Skilled in query optimization and database performance tuning.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, collaborate across teams, work independently and analytical thinking.
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
