Job summary

ASI Group is seeking a Systems Analyst to support our EDI platform and other ASI business systems.

This role serves as the day-to-day analytical and technical liaison between the business, Applications and Infrastructure teams, and external trading partners and EDI/VAN vendors monitoring and troubleshooting EDI transactions, supporting onboarding of new trading partners, and assisting with help desk tickets and end-user support within the ERP environment.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, Business, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years of experience in an IT support, systems analyst, or EDI-related role.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with end users and external trading partners.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily EDI transactions (purchase orders, invoices, ASNs) for timely processing and error identification.
• Troubleshoot and resolve EDI transaction failures and mapping issues with trading partners and EDI/VAN provider.
• Support onboarding of new EDI trading partners, including testing and validation.
• Manage projects, update EDI maps, and document specifications for evolving requirements.
• Document EDI processes and partner setups for team reference.
• Assist with help desk tickets related to Epicor/Kinetic ERP and other business apps.
• Triage and escalate tickets to support end users as needed.
• Collaborate with Applications and Infrastructure teams on system troubleshooting.
• Perform basic data analysis and reporting using SQL as needed.
• Support testing during ERP upgrades and EDI platform changes.

Job description

ASI Group is seeking a Systems Analyst to support our EDI platform and other ASI business systems. This role serves as the day-to-day analytical and technical liaison between the business, our Applications and Infrastructure teams, and external trading partners and EDI/VAN vendors monitoring and troubleshooting EDI transactions, supporting the onboarding of new trading partners, and assisting with help desk tickets and end-user support as part of the broader ERP environment. The ideal candidate combines hands-on troubleshooting skills and strong communication skills to support both internal end users and external trading partners.

Reporting to the Senior ERP Team Lead, this position is office-based, with regular collaboration with the Applications and Infrastructure teams and occasional coordination with external trading partners and vendors.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitor daily EDI transactions (e.g., purchase orders, invoices, advance ship notices) to confirm timely, accurate processing and identify errors.
• Troubleshoot and resolve EDI transaction failures and mapping issues, coordinating with trading partners and the EDI/VAN provider as needed.
• Support the onboarding of new EDI trading partners, including testing and validating transaction sets.
• Ability to manage projects, maintain and update EDI maps and document specifications as business or trading partner requirements change.
• Document EDI processes, trading partner setups, and known issue resolutions for the team’s reference.
• Assist with help desk tickets related to Epicor/Kinetic ERP and other business applications as an extension of overall ERP platform support.
• Help triage and resolve or escalation tickets as needed to support end users.
• Collaborate with the Applications and Infrastructure teams on system troubleshooting and cross-functional support requests.
• Assist with basic data analysis and reporting using SQL as needed.
• Support testing during ERP upgrades, EDI platform changes, or other system implementations.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years of experience in an IT support, systems analyst, or EDI-related role.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with end users and external trading partners.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Epicor/Kinetic ERP and relational database skills are a plus.
• Experience with EDI standards (e.g., X12) and EDI/VAN platforms.
• Basic to intermediate SQL skills for querying and troubleshooting data.
• Experience using a help desk ticketing system.
• Basic networking and SSRS knowledge.
• Work with Supervisors and Operators to resolve complaints or eliminate delays.
• Performs other duties as required.
