Job summary

Taylor Defense Products, LLC in Louisville, MS is seeking an Edge Prep Technician for a full-time, day shift role at location TDP. The role focuses on cleaning surfaces, edge preparation, and preparing edges for painting, sealing, or manufacturing.

You will perform surface cleaning, edge scraping and sanding, mix chemicals safely, inspect edges for quality, and follow safety protocols. A high school diploma or GED and two years of related experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and ability to stand and use hand tools.
• Experience with basic hand tools and cleaning processes.
• Forklift operation experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Surface Cleaning: Sweep, vacuum, dust, and wash work areas or floors.
• Edge Preparation: Scrape, sand, grind, or clean edges to remove old sealant, rust, burrs, or grease.
• Chemical Mixing: Mix water, detergents, or specialized solutions safely according to product specs.
• Inspection & Quality Control: Check edges and cleaned zones are smooth and dry before next step.
• Safety Compliance: Wear PPE and follow health and safety protocols when handling tools and chemicals.
