Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Seattle, WA is seeking a Network Development Engineer to join the GCNA-D team.

You will design, operate, and implement networks at global scale to ensure fast, reliable connectivity between Amazon data centers, AWS services, and customers. The role collaborates with software, hardware and Infrastructure teams, focusing on scalable network designs, automation, and sustaining engineering.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience with major internet routing protocols (BGP, etc).
• 4+ years of Linux/Unix environment experience.
• 4+ years of automation scripting using Python, Bash, Shell and/or Perl.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement changes on the network per change management standards.
• Lead network projects in deployment, scaling, and optimization.
• Maintain next-generation networks for AWS customers and diagnose large-scale events.
• Collaborate with automation teams to scale tooling and processes.
• Provide on-call support in a 24x7 team and manage incidents.
• Document deployments, standards, and knowledge transfer materials.
