Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking an Edge Systems Network Engineer to design and implement networks for next-generation DoD missions. You will craft end-to-end architectures from enterprise cores to the tactical edge, focusing on routing, switching, SD-WAN overlays, and robust security to protect mission traffic in contested environments.

You will apply expertise in DDIL and disconnected edge operations, guide a team of engineers, and translate mission requirements into resilient designs.

Qualifications

• Experience in routing and switching, including complex multi-site and enterprise-to-edge architectures
• Experience designing and deploying SD-WAN and overlay or transport-agnostic networks
• Experience with network security design, including segmentation, firewalls, encryption, and defense-in-depth
• Experience engineering edge and tactical computing networks for DDIL and disconnected operations
• Ability to translate mission and reliability requirements into resilient network designs that degrade fully
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in CS or Engineering and 8+ years of experience in network engineering, including design and architecture, or 12+ years of experience in network engineering, including design and architecture, in lieu of a degree
• CCNP Certification
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II Security+ CE Certification

• Architect end-to-end networks from enterprise cores to the tactical edge.
• Design routing, switching, SD-WAN overlays, and security for mission networks.
• Lead a team to deploy DoD-ready network solutions and ensure reliability.
• Guide clients on DDIL and disconnected edge operations.
