Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking an Edge Systems Network Engineer to design and implement next‑generation networks for DoD missions, spanning enterprise cores to tactical edge, with an emphasis on reliability and security.

You will apply routing, switching, SD‑WAN, and encryption expertise to create resilient architectures that perform under DDIL and disconnected conditions, with DoD standards and DoD 8570 IAT II security requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in routing and switching, including complex multi-site and enterprise-to-edge architectures.
• Experience designing and deploying SD-WAN and overlay or transport-agnostic networks.
• Experience with network security design, including segmentation, firewalls, encryption, and defense-in-depth.
• Experience engineering edge and tactical computing networks for DDIL and disconnected operations.
• Ability to translate mission and reliability requirements into resilient network designs that degrade fully.
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS or Engineering and 8+ years of experience in network engineering, including design and architecture, or 12+ years of experience in network engineering, including design and architecture, in lieu of a degree.
• CCNP Certification
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II Security+ CE Certification
